WWF India, Hyderabad Office organized a fundraising ‘Golf for Wildlife and Nature’ tournament in association with Hyderabad Golf Association (HGA) at the HGA Golf Course over the weekend.
The tournament besides being a sporting event also celebrated the International Tiger Day, which was on July 29.
Speaking on the occasion Anil Kumar V Epur, Chairman WWF- India Hyderabad Office Advisory Board; stated, “This annual WWF-HGA golf tournament being organized for the past three years has seen coming together of many like minded as well as large hearted individuals to support the cause of nature conservation and wildlife protection.”
Internationally recognized golfer Sharmila Nicollet, the brand ambassador for Golf and Wildlife and Nature Tournament 2017 added, “Sustainability of our environment is a pressing issue and this unique event combines two of my passions- golf and wildlife together. I garner my whole-hearted support towards this WWF event and I’m honored to be a part of it.”
