Mahindra has launched an app based electric taxi service named ‘Glyd’. With this the company has entered into a space which is currently dominated by the likes of Ola and Uber.
Glyd, available on select routes in Mumbai, has a fleet of 10 electric cars—e-Veritos—owned by Meru Cabs. The carmaker is currently offering its services only in Bandra-Kurla Complex, one of the business hubs in the country’s financial capital.
The company said it will offer features like private screen, air purifier, strain-free lighting, bolstered seats, wrap-around headrest and custom-designed armrests.
Going forward, they plan to launch multiple e-mobility solutions, across cities.
