Greater Noida Gets Its First Electric Charging Station

NTPC Ltd today announced it has commissioned along with Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) its first Electric Vehicle charging station at Indian Oil COCO Petro Pump near New Holland Tractor plant, Greater Noida.

The two companies have joined hands to set up many such charging stations.

The EV charging station offers four charging points to consumers with fast and slow charging options conforming to Bharat DC 001 and Bharat AC 001 standards. At its onset, charging for electric vehicles at the station will be done free of cost.

NTPC said the adoption of electric vehicles is expected to help in reducing auto emissions, improving air quality and country’s dependence on oil imports.

As part of its increased focus on setting up electric vehicle charging stations, NTPC has entered into agreements with fuel retailers, Delhi Metro Rail Corp and state government entities for providing electric mobility solutions.
