NREDCAP issues Empanelment Tender for Rooftop Solar Installers

The New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NREDCAP) has issued an empanelment tender for rooftop solar installers in the state. The tender covers rooftop solar projects with capacities ranging from 1 kW to 500 kW.

The empaneled developers will develop 15 MW of rooftop solar PV projects atop government buildings and 20 MW of rooftop solar PV projects atop residential, social, and institutional buildings in Andhra Pradesh.

Empanelment will be done for three project categories: 1 kW to 10 kW, 11 kW to 100 kW, and above 100 kW.

For projects being developed atop residential, institutional, and social sector buildings, the developers can take advantage of central financial assistance (CFA) of up to 30 percent of the benchmark cost of the projects.

For projects developed atop government buildings achievement-linked incentives will be provided.

Since MNRE discontinued the empanelment of Channel Partners under the grid-connected rooftop and small solar projects program effective November 23, 2017, states have been coming up with empanelment tenders for rooftop solar PV.

The rooftop solar PV projects will be developed on a turnkey basis.
