Shell to Acquire Stake in Fourth Partner Energy

Shell could acquire a controlling stake in Indian rooftop solar company Fourth Partner Energy and thus continue its foray into the solar power segment. It is know from trusted sources that Shell seeks to buy a “significant stake” in the Hyderabad-based firm, while another claimed that the oil major is even targeting a majority.

Earlier this month there was another report quoting two sources that said the Anglo-Dutch company was among parties keen on investing in local solar power producer Amplus Energy Solutions Pvt Ltd.

Shell is all geared up to move away from fossil fuel and be in renewable energy space, that to at the for front of action.
