Xiaomi & United Way India Will Provide RE Solutions To Villages

Xiaomi India has teamed with United Way India to bring sustainable energy solutions to five villages in Maharashtra’s Palghar district.

In a joint statement, the companies stated that their goal is to provide these villages with reliable and sustainable energy through solar photovoltaic (solar PV) infrastructure, with the larger goal of promoting the use of clean and renewable energy by establishing a sustainable solar grid system in villages.

The effort also intends to supply green energy to approximately 150 families and enable the provision of daily basic necessities such as illumination for children to read, write, and study and access to clean drinking water 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Xiaomi is assisting India’s self-sufficiency path with these measures that not only serve to offset carbon emissions and keep the environment clean, but also aid in the upliftment of rural communities.
