Tata Power Renewables has reached a major rooftop solar milestone in FY26. Within nine months, its rooftop solar arm, Tata Power Solaroof, installed over 1 GWp of solar capacity across India. This strong performance highlights rising customer trust and rapid growth in solar adoption.

In the period from April to December 2025, Tata Power Solaroof added more than 1.7 lakh rooftop solar installations. This figure represents a remarkable over 340 % year-on-year growth compared to the same period in FY25. The company’s customer base now exceeds 3 lakh users, spanning residential, commercial, and industrial segments.

Moreover, the third quarter of FY26 was especially strong. Tata Power Solaroof completed 58,476 installations, adding 372 MWp of rooftop capacity. This marked a 242 % year-on-year increase over Q3 of the previous year.

States across India showed strong adoption. Uttar Pradesh led in the number of installations, while Gujarat recorded the highest capacity added during the nine-month period. Maharashtra, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Chhattisgarh also made significant contributions to rooftop solar growth.

Tata Power Solaroof has held the title of India’s No. 1 rooftop solar player for over a decade, according to industry rankings by BTI Research (CRISIL). The company is also supporting national clean energy goals, including the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana, through its Ghar Ghar Solar campaign. This initiative aims to expand solar access to more homes and businesses.
