Bosch completes 4MW solar project for Indian port

German multinational engineering and electronics company Bosch has commissioned a 4MW(AC) ground-mount solar PV project for the New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT) at Dakshin Kannada in the Indian state of Karnataka.

The project was executed by the Bosch Energy and Building Solutions (BEBS) team in India. The project is set across just more than seven hectares and will deliver power to the equivalent of 5,000 urban households.

Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) issued the original tender back in December 2015. India’s Ministry of Shipping set forth plans last year to install 83MW of solar PV installations at the country’s 12 major ports.
