Vestas has won an order for turbines totaling 100MW for an unnamed customer and wind farm in India. The deal includes delivery, installation and commissioning of 50 V110 2.0MW turbines as well as the project’s civil and electrical works.

Turbine delivery is expected to start in late 2017, with commissioning by the first half of 2018. It also includes a 10-year active output management 4000 service contract and VestasOnline Business SCADA system.

Vestas Asia Pacific president Clive Turton said: “This order underlines the broad range of capabilities and offerings that Vestas has to offer in the Indian market now and in the future.” The Danish manufacturer said it also recently inaugurated blade factory in Gujarat.
