Windergy India 2022, the forthcoming major wind energy trade expo and conference, is aimed to improve the wind energy eco-system by deliberating and supporting a faster transition to renewable energy in line with national goals.

The three-day major wind energy event will be held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi from April 27-29, 2022, with the goal of fulfilling the country’s promise to a rapid transition to clean energy, of which wind energy is a key component.

The high level conference will be attended by Shri R. K. Singh, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister for Power and New & Renewable Energy, Government of India, Shri Bhagwanth Khuba, Minister of State for New & Renewable Energy, Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India, and The Danish Ambassador His Excellency Freddy Svane, among other dignitaries and industry stalwarts would also be part of this high level conference that would run concurrently with the tradefair.

Wind energy would be critical in realising Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s ambition of making India a “Net-Zero Emission” country by 2070.

Currently, renewable energy accounts for 27 percent of total installed power capacity in the nation, with wind energy accounting for 37.73 percent (40.13 GW).

With the correct regulatory and financial assistance, the Indian wind power sector has an exceptional yearly production capacity of 10,000 MW of wind turbines, which may be increased to 15,000 MW in the near future.

rt from contributing to GDP development, the Indian wind energy industry has achieved 80 percent indigenization, which is in accordance with the “Make in India” policy and has a specific favorable influence on the rural economy. It is also primed to create an additional 2 million jobs, especially in rural areas.
