Waaree Energies Limited, India’s leading solar module manufacturer, has partnered with IRCON Renewable Power Limited to supply over 200 MW of solar PV modules, in adherence to domestic content requirement (DCR), for a 500 MW grid-connected project in Pavagada, Karnataka. This collaboration further strengthens India’s commitment to clean energy and positions Waaree as a key player in the nation’s solar revolution.
The project, awarded by the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency, marks Waaree’s continued success in providing high-quality solar modules for large-scale projects. Boasting a 12 GW installed capacity and four innovative production facilities, the company is a trusted partner for developers and utilities nationwide.
This project adds to a series of recent wins for Waaree. In November, they partnered with NTPC Limited for a 135 MW solar project in Rajasthan. And in October, they secured a 200 MW contract from ENGIE India for a project in Gujarat.
The company’s commitment to domestic manufacturing and innovation is driving its rapid growth. With a presence in over 20 international and 388 national locations, the company is poised to further contribute to India’s clean energy ambitions.
