NLC on way to becoming the new RE Giant

NLC India Ltd. (NLCIL) is on track to become a 20,000 MW power company with in house fuel sufficiency and a balanced generation of renewable energy. NLCIL had grown from a lignite mining and lignite-based power company to an integrated energy company by diversifying into coal mining and coal-based power generation into renewable energy with a pan India presence.

It has achieved the highest ever performance both in physical and financial fronts since its inception and has contributed ₹4,965 crore to the national exchequer compared to ₹1,975 crore the previous financial year, registering a growth of 151%. NLCIL grew by 54.75% in thermal segment, 48% in mining and 19% in renewable energy segment over the last three years.
