Gujarat-based company Saatvik Green Energy has been awarded a contract to install a 12 MW rooftop solar project for a steel conglomerate in Orissa. The details of the contract value have not been disclosed.

Saatvik announced that they will carry out the project on a space measuring 25,522 square meters, utilizing 545 watt peak monocrystalline PERC panels.

Saatvik stated that by setting up a 12 MW rooftop solar project, the steel conglomerate can produce a significant amount of clean and renewable energy, which will help decrease its carbon emissions and reliance on non-renewable energy sources. This installation will enable the steel giant to reduce 9,600 metric tons of CO2 emissions annually.

Saatvik Green Energy builds and operates solar energy systems both on-site and off-site. They also produce solar PV modules that are approved by ALMM for various types of projects.

Not only will this project help India achieve its renewable energy goals, but it will also serve as a model for other industries to embrace sustainability and invest in clean energy solutions.
