JA Solar’s Solar Module Exports to India Reach 1 GW in 2017

JA Solar, the second largest solar power manufacturer with a 10 percent market share in India recently announced that its module shipments to India reached a capacity of 1 GW in 2017.

The 1 GW of modules shipped to India represents the electricity generation capacity of approximately 1.7 billion kWh, which can reduce carbon emissions by 1.47 million tons annually. Since its first module shipment to India in 2011, JA Solar has expanded quickly in the region by establishing strategic partnerships with local developers, Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) companies, independent power producers, and other important partners.
