Rajasthan Is Taking ‘Gas Route’ Towards Green Fuel

Seven districts in Rajasthan has been offered under the 10th round of City Gas Distribution bidding.

In the 9th round of city gas distribution bidding, 13 districts in Rajasthan were awarded to companies for creating the infrastructure and marketing of the gas to consumers in the districts.

Holding a roadshow for investors here, Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) chairman DK Sarraf said that as a part of the wider energy security program, the government has set a target to reduce 10 per cent crude oil imports by 2022.

The state is taking efforts not only to increase the use and supply of gas but also produce the green fuel. In the 10th round of bidding’s, the Centre is offering 50 geographical areas (GAs) across the country.
