Ashok Leyland, the commercial vehicle manufacturer and Hinduja Group flagship, has teamed with Aidrivers to create artificial intelligence-enabled autonomous vehicles.
Rafiq Swash, creator of Aidrivers, said that the firm delivers autonomous mobility solutions for industrial mobility automation that optimize customers’ business processes and allow the provision of high-quality services.
The two firms struck a first agreement earlier this month to collaborate on a long-term basis, combining their specialized expertise and experience to advance together in this rapidly evolving industry.
Aidrivers will supply AI-enabled autonomous solutions, while Ashok Leyland will provide vehicle platforms under the terms of the agreement. The two partners will collaborate to identify potential markets and areas of collaboration.
The firms are pleased about the prospects and look forward to collaborating to develop cutting-edge autonomous solutions for a variety of industrial applications.
The agreement calls for the development of autonomous cars, industrial mobility equipment, and other forms of autonomous industrial automation that may provide considerable value to fleet operators and logistics providers, among others.
Ashok Leyland has a long history of being a pioneer in the commercial vehicle business, having invented several ideas that have become industry benchmarks and standards throughout the years, he noted.
