Hopcharge, a Gurgaon-based company, has launched a doorstep electric car charging service. It is the world’s first on-demand doorstep electric car charging service, making it unique.
Hopcharge is designed as a plug-and-play fast-charging network that is available 24X7, everywhere in the city. Because the charging station comes to the EV users rather than the other way around, it frees up the EV user while we charge the EV, as well as saving them the headache of sanctioning load, installing, and maintaining it.
The business is still doing pilot tests in Gurgaon. Hopcharge users would have to pay at least Rs 3 to 4 every kilometre, which equates to about Rs 20 per kWh of charging.
This service is also accessible via an app, which is available for both Android and iOS devices. The app provides a one-of-a-kind technology-powered back-end energy management system for end-to-end procedures and is compatible with all EVs marketed worldwide.
In addition, the Residential EV Charging Handbook has been released to help consumers set up Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations in their homes in Delhi.
The Delhi Dialogue and Development Commission (DDC) and the World Resource Institute collaborated on the creation of this handbook (WRI, India). According to the government, the charging stations are among the 30,000 charging outlets that would benefit from the Rs 6,000 subsidy provided through this scheme.
