Adani Total Gas Ltd (ATGL), a city gas distribution player, made its entry into the electric mobility market by launching its first electric vehicle charging station (EVCS) in Ahmedabad.
ATGL, which has a strong distribution network as a retailer of compressed natural gas (CNG) across the country, intends to leverage this strength to establish an EVCS network.
The firm stated that it intends to grow its network by establishing 1,500 EVCS across the country and abroad, based on demand creation and momentum emerging in India’s EV ecosystem.
The start of the EV business with the establishment of the first charging station in Ahmedabad is yet another milestone for Adani Total Gas in providing a choice of newer green fuel to India’s larger consumer base while timely closing an emerging business opportunity aligned with the company’s vision of offering sustainable fueling solutions across all major cities and towns in India.
