KK Wind acquires Bonfiglioli’s cabinet control business in Bangalore

Danish outfit KK Wind Solutions will take over Bonfiglioli Riduttori’s control cabinet business in Bangalore in India on 1 September. The acquisition will allow KK Wind to strengthen its positioning in the global wind business, the company said.

KK Wind Solutions said it has also established a new production and engineering site close to Bonfiglioli’s existing facilities. All control cabinet production equipment will be transferred to the new building along with the workforce currently working at Bonfiglioli’s facilities, the company added.

KK Wind Solutions chief executive Chlinton Arendahl Nielsen said: “This strategic integration will enable us to significantly strengthen our presence in the Asia Pacific region.” Bonfiglioli said control cabinet manufacturing was no longer seen as a core business to meet the company’s strategic targets.
