Ecoppia’s mission is to provide superior-quality, innovative technologies to the PV sector. It was founded in 2013 and is the pioneer and global leader in robotic cleaning solutions for PV, providing a cloud-based platform and a suite of sophisticated, completely autonomous robots that cost-effectively maximize the performance of utility-scale PV installations throughout the world.

The cloud-based, water-free robots, which remove soil from solar panels on a daily basis, will be installed in the second quarter of 2022 at Sprng Solar’s 150-MW Ananthapuram project in Andhra Pradesh, the Israeli business said last week.

Since 2017, Ecoppia has been the only provider of robotic cleaning solutions for all greenfield solar projects produced by Actis platforms in India.

It claimed that during India’s over 150-day national lockdown in 2020 and 2021, none of their installations, totaling more than 2 GW, encountered any cleaning disruptions.

For almost a decade, the company has been innovating the solar market with over 3GW of projects in 4 different continents, allowing site owners to enjoy the benefits of a year-round peak performance while lowering their O&M expenses and overall, their LCOE.
